The desert isn't for me!

So, Dave & I arrived in Tucson on Tuesday night. Dave insisted that we pack our swimsuits. Yeah, I don't like the heat. Why would I go to the pool & sit in the sun when it's over a 100 degrees outside?! It's over 80 degrees at 7:30 in the morning when I walk Cali & I'm dripping wet by the time we're back to the room. I spent most of my elementary days trying to get out of going to gym bec. I don't like to sweat. Nothing has changed. I still don't like to sweat! And I don't like cactus -- I think they are ugly, not to mention threatening. Give me air conditioning any day of the week!

We drove the equipment here for the Up With People Alumni Reunion. Dave did help with set up, but that's it. We were supposed to have a few days of vacation -- the first three days in a row in about 9 months. BUT, on the drive here, the office called bec. we (the company) had an opportunity to do a job, but there wasn't any crew available (out on jobs or supposed to be on a short vacation). It's an opportunity to establish a new client, so, of course, Dave will do it. That meant flying BACK to Denver this afternoon! He'll rig in the gear tomorrow, teaching a free-lance guy how to do it (so we can use him in the future -- if we ever get a few days of vacation & a call for a job!). He'll fly back on Saturday morning. The event is over on Saturday night & we'll leave for home on Sunday morning.

I'm going to the spa tomorrow to sulk in solitude! Massage @ 11, manicure & pedicure @ noon. Nap at 1!
