Late on Fri., Dave's folks returned from a week in TX with Lori. We didn't find out until Sat. morning that they had bought a house! What I don't understand is why they didn't call Dave or Dan about it! If, as they say, they have incredible peace about the decision and are confident that this is what they are supposed to do, why not share it with their children -- who are the ones who put this whole process in motion 6 months ago?! On Sat. afternoon, after hearing the whole story about how this came about, I asked Mom if they had talked to Dan about it. Her response was, "No. Do you think we should?" DUH!!! Dave (and I) hurt from the lack of consideration and thoughtlessness over this.
Emily helped me clean out the garage & barn. The dumpster is virtually full! We threw out things without even opening the boxes/bags. Mostly bec. of all the mouse poo, but also bec. it's been out of our lives for so many years, there's no need to bring it all back. I'll have a garage sale after we get home from PA -- some weekend in mid-July.
My oldest sons hate working for our company. It's the situation/people in management that "push their buttons". Or should I say, "MASH their buttons"! We continue to pray that the Lord will give his clear direction for their lives. In the meantime, I get tired of hearing about the problems. I'm not involved in the company, except as an occasional subcontractor, so there isn't anything I can do about the problems/issues. I listen and offer my point of view, but there isn't anything I can do to solve it.
Joe hates his job @ the mall. He doesn't like retail & would rather be in a restaurant washing dishes -- & he's not particularly drawn to that either. He's having anger issues, doesn't always take his meds (which make the anger issues worse) & doesn't have real direction for the future. So, we continue to pray for the Lord's leading in his life. Although he is 18 yrs old, he isn't that old/mature emotionally or socially. We continue to pray & work with him in these areas also.
At least yesterday was enjoyable. I rode with Giles & Emily to Colorado Springs. We attended church with Sharon & Molly, then had lunch together. I took a nap on Sharon's bed while Molly packed to return to Arvada with us later. We had a surprise birthday party for Molly @ Barb & Stan's. It was a wonderful time of fellowship. We didn't leave until 10:15 or so, and it was about 12:30 AM when we got home.
I am looking forward to flying to Dallas to be with Jean for a couple of days. Then, on to PA to join Dave. I can hardly wait to be with him again! This is such a long stretch & I miss him terribly.
Hopefully, the rest of this week will go better than the past few days.
