Philadelphia -- city of brotherly bite me!

On Wed., I slept from about 6:00-11:45 PM. Dave & crew finished up the last session of the event in VA Beach & then struck/loaded the equipment. I got over to the convention center about 12:30 AM on Thur. Since this is the off season, I went to IHOP to get a fried egg sandwich -- I hadn't eaten since breakfast on Wed.

We were pulling out at 2:00 AM. Dave drove the rig across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel (about an hour) & then I took over. We had gotten advise to take US Hwy 13 to I-95 into Philly/Valley Forge, so that's what we did. It cut about an hour off of the drive, but Hwy 13 is 2-lane thru towns, so I had to slow down/speed up a lot. That meant shifting gears a lot. My right ankle is sore today (Fri.). We arrived at the venue by 8:00 AM. It was a long drive for me -- although I had taken a 5-hr. energy shot/drink which did help.

I was able to take a nap after getting settled in the room. Then I worked on lyrics for the event since I'm the one with Media Shout on my computer. One of our guys has it now too, so at least they can run lyrics from that computer rather than mine. IPG really needs to invest in a computer just for graphics! I was going to finish the lyrics today, but I just sent an email to the guy who is handling the graphics for this job, asking if he can do it. It makes more sense for him to do it than for me to do it for him. Since I am really trying to phase out of this, he needs to know how to do it anyway.

Time to take Cali out & then take a nap! Still trying to recover from the drive!
