Friends Old & New

Saturday was a busy day -- very enjoyable. Although it rained ALL day, it didn't dampen my mood or plans.

I enjoyed coffee & catching up with my best friend from college. Ann & I have one of those relationships where -- no matter how long it's been since we last talked (& it was a couple of years) -- it's never difficult or awkward to get together & catch up. I'm grateful we are back in touch. There aren't very many friends like that in life & I'm thankful she is one!

Dinner was spent with ladies from the neighborhood & friends of our hostess. Margaret -- lives across the street from us -- invited neighborhood ladies & friends to enjoy dinner, drinks & dessert. I met women to live near me that I have never talked to, I chatted with ladies I've only said "hello" to, and caught up with my next door neighbor who had breast cancer last summer. It was a delightful evening!

Yesterday was spent relaxing with my best friend -- David. He got home from work @ 3:30 AM, slept until about noon & then sat beside me while we watched TV. Today, he went to work, had a meeting & took the afternoon off! He is also taking the next 2-3 days off! Yippee!

So, the rain has passed & the sun is shining -- inside & out!
