The garage is nearly empty! I've been making runs to ARC with items left over from the yard sale; some of the larger items will be picked up by an ARC truck on 9/9.
On Thur., I began the process of taking the garage apart -- dismantling the (home made) work area that never really worked, taking out nails & hooks, taking down shelves that were up (WAY up) when we moved in. I have a few more to take down & remove nails & hooks from another wall. I also need to get the broken garage door opener down. I'm really hoping to have it all done by the end of today.
I got tired of waiting (2 yrs!) for someone to fix a kitchen drawer for me. When we had our new gas cook top put in, the new gas pipe interfered with the drawer -- by about 3 in. So, I did the measurements myself, cut off the 3 in. myself, glued the bottom & nailed the back on myself & put it BACK myself! That meant getting a new drawer divider to accommodate the silverware, which moved from the last drawer to the fixed drawer. I still have more sorting, cleaning out & re-arranging of cupboards in the kitchen, but at least that part is done.
Think I'll have a peanut butter & jelly sandwich with a glass of milk before getting back to work in the garage. Cali will keep me company.
