Where has the time gone?

What an incredible time we all had! Laughter, tears, hugs, kisses -- on BOTH sides of the aisle. We enjoyed a belated Christmas with family, ate WAY too much, worked on the finishing touches, got sewn into a dress (the zipper broke on my dress -- no kidding!), and rejoiced at the goodness & faithfulness of God in our lives.

As Giles & Emily were married, I kept seeing a photo that we have of Giles on the day he was born: minutes old, little blue cap & an oxygen hose by his face in the NICU. And, on this day -- December 28, 2007 -- he stood before family & friends as he publicly declared his love for Emily.

Emily is such a delight! Sharon King (Emi's mom) & I get along so well -- it's almost as if we've been friends for years. Dave enjoys having all three with us -- Emily, younger sister Molly & mom Sharon. It's great to have such a wonderful relationship together already.

Dave & I had the honor of driving the new young couple to their honeymoon hotel -- for one night. Sharon picked them up this morning & took them to the airport for their honeymoon trip to London. The hotel had upgraded them to a 2-bedroom suite -- for free -- and gave them a bottle of champaign.

And so, life continues. Dave & I leave tomorrow for a job in Dallas. Cali will go with us. She had surgery yesterday -- so she'll sit on my lap during the trip. The newlyweds will be back a couple of days before us.

We are so grateful to our Lord for another year together -- and for His blessing us with a daughter, new friends, and time with family & friends.

Happy new year & thanks for stopping by.
