It's February already!

It's amazing how quickly time goes by. I feel like we've been on fast forward since Thanksgiving. Last week, after we got home from a job, I thought we were going to be home a few weeks. With that in my head, I learned how to order groceries online & they were delivered the next evening. The only problem was that I later found out that we were leaving in 6 days!!! So much for fresh fruit & veggies. I'm just hoping my family will eat it while we're gone.

So, here we are in Irvine, CA for a wkend conference. It ends late Sun. night & we'll have to strike/load it started at 10 PM. Since Dave has come down with a head cold & we don't have to rush any equipment back to the shop, we're really considering extending our stay out here a couple of days. Dave really needs a break -- some down time -- rest. If we went back home, he wouldn't get any rest -- he'd feel obligated to go into the office.

With Giles married, Arthur working 2 jobs & Joe driving, Dave & I have become empty nesters -- the little ones just keep fluttering in every once in a while. This is taking some adjustments for me -- and Dave.
