Here we are ... again

After our last job in CA, Dave & I actually took five days to get home! What a treat! We stayed an extra day in Irvine so Dave could get some sleep ... and I could get a massage. Then we slowly made our way home, spending 2 nights in Las Vegas. I know. What can you say that's good about Vegas? We actually stayed @ South Point which is on the southern-most side of town (duh), so it's away from the Strip. It's still a casino, but it isn't as crowded or noisy. We did drop a few dollars into the machines -- and lost -- but we had decided on how much to spend ahead of time & quit when it was gone.

On our second evening there, we went to see the Cirque du Soliel show, Ka'. It was absolutely incredible! We were so taken with the staging, visual effects, etc. that we didn't even think about the production side. The front half of the stage was on Hydraulics -- with actors/performers on it, the stage would lift up into the air, rotate vertical(!), tilt to face the audience(!). It was amazing! That alone was worth the stay.

So, after about a week at home, we're back in CA. This time, we're in San Diego at our favorite place -- the Town & Country Hotel in Fashion Valley. We've been coming here for about 10 years and it feels like home. At least it's comfortable and familiar. Cali has already had 2 baths -- one last night and one this morning. Walking her in the parking lot gets her filthy and she won't let me just wash off her feet -- she wants to be under the running water. Right now, she's damp & cuddled up to me under a blanket. What a precious one!

Time to get some work done. I suppose a bite to eat would be good too. There is so much going thru my head -- work, life changes, family, home. Maybe I'll write about some of that later.

Have a good day.
