I knew it'd been a while since I'd written, but nearly a month?! Where did the time go? Let's see ... working at the office bec. the receptionist quit, job in Scottsdale, home, job in Cincinnati, then in Philadelphia, home. Yep, it's November! Dave left today for Houston -- he'll be home next Fri. We decided I should stay home. Being gone that much tends to generate lots of dirty clothes, so I have to do laundry.
While we were on our last trip, I was able to start looking for a dress to wear to the wedding. THAT was depressing! I'm sort of between sizes -- I can either eat more to get into the next size up or lose 10 lb. to get into the next size down. Guess it's the 10 lb.
Today I decided to start shopping locally for a dress to wear to the wedding. I really wanted to find something that I'll wear again. After going to a few places, I went to Flat Irons Mall & when I walked in, I found "THE" dress -- it's knee-length, silver/gray, sleeveless dress with a matching full-length coat. There is black flower embroidery with beading above the hem of the dress and the coat. The coat has a band collar. It is beautiful! I even had a coupon for $30 off, so that made it even better. Of course, I had to find shoes too, so I went to DSW & shopped for HOURS. I found shoes to wear with the dress -- that I'll wear again. I found a few other pairs too.
And so, the days continue to count down -- toward Joe's 18th birthday (11/29th!), the twins' birthday (12/8), Dave's birthday (12/11), my 50th birthday, the wedding ... And the days will keep going. I'm grateful that the Lord continues to give me strength for each day, precious family, wonderful friends.
Sleep well, loved ones.
