It's always something ...

Last Fri. I was given about 30 min. notice that Dave needed me to drive with him to Las Vegas. Bec. the tractor had to be re-fixed before leaving and snow was forecast for the route, he was concerned that he would have to drive all night to get there on time. Anyway, I made a return flight home for Sat., threw a few things into a bag, made sure the boys would care for Cali & we headed out. There was snow on the various passes in CO and UT -- slowing us to about 30 mph at times. We were able to make good time & stopped at a motel in Green River for a few hours of sleep. Dave arrived in time for a noon meeting with the client. I was able to move my return flight up & got home about 6:30 PM. Dave will be home late Sat. night & we'll head back to Las Vegas on the 13th, then be on the road for 10 days.

Being at home has given me time to get some things done for Emily. I put the center pieces together, made the bride's maids' flowers and Emily's bouquet. She's happy with it -- which makes me happy. Today, I'll go back to Mom Hash's & finish up the few little things that need to be done. I want to get it all done before leaving next week.

I've also had time to get the front closet cleaned out, and will work on the basement starting tonight. Our schedule from next week thru January is very busy, so it's important to me to get it done.

Joe is registered at a local technical school to start classes in culinary arts next month! He's looking forward to it. When he's done with this subject, he wants to go on to the TV/Video division -- learn camera operation, editing, etc.

We are looking forward to having family here for the wedding. The wedding is going to be lovely -- and fun. We are so blessed to have Emily, Molly & Sharon become part of our family! I plan to re-do Giles' room after the wedding and include a bed so Molly and/or Sharon have a place to stay when they are here to visit. Since Giles & Em only have a one-bedroom apartment, being able to stay at our house will give some privacy to them and room to family.

Time to get some work done! Till next time ...
