Whatever you want to call it, that's what I've been doing most of the summer. Getting rid of stuff!!! Emily helped (and what a tremendous help she was!) to go thru the garage -- 15+ yrs. of stuff -- and the barn -- 10+ yrs. of stuff. We threw away SO much junk!!! I took loads & loads of stuff to ARC. I also left boxes & bags for then when they were coming thru the neighborhood to pick up re-usables.
The professional organizer was here last Sat. & helped Joe declutter/organize his bedroom. It didn't get finished, so Dave & I helped him on Wed., buying storage cabinets instead of building a closet unit. He likes how it has turned out. And, he seems relieved to have the junk out.
The garage sale had been scheduled for last wkend, but it was postponed due to rainy -- and I mean rainy -- weather. Today is bright, dry & warm -- perfect for a garage sale! I had quite a bit of traffic btwn 8:30 & 10:30 -- over $100 in sales. A few items are priced (in my head), but otherwise, I ask the buyer to make an offer. Ridiculous prices -- most going for a couple of dollars. I just want it gone!!! I pray tomorrow will be even better. Whatever is left will get hauled to ARC. If it's a lot left, I'll have them pick it up.
Feels GREAT to get it out!!!
