Friday eve ...

OK, so it's Thursday. Friday eve just sounds more encouraging, don't you think?

Dave flew to Phoenix for a site visit with a client. He gets home tomorrow afternoon ... or evening. I don't know what time. Guess I'll know when he calls once he's landed. That gives me just about enough time to drive out to the airport & for the plane to get to the gate & him to the curb.

I woke @ 2:30 this morning ... and was in & out of the bathroom for several hours. Don't know the problem, but I finally decided to stay up when someone's (Dave's!) alarm went off @ 5:00 AM. Bath, dress, coffee, snuggle with Cali. Another day started.

After putting a few things away, emptying the dishwasher & reloading it (you're welcome, Arthur), I left to take old-ish magazines to Kaiser, dump a load of trash in the office's dumpster, get dog food ($50!!! for a 20 lb bag -- TWICE what it was last time I bought it. Good thing she only eats 1/2 cup each day!) Then I went & got my nails done.

I think I'm going to find a dif. place to get my nails done. The guy is nice enough, but he talks way to much!!! And that's a lot, bec. it doesn't usually bother me. And, I've not been real pleased with the work the last two times (I've been a total of 3, but still ...).

When I got home, the cleaners were just finishing up. Angie & her husband (James, I think) work together -- and it's delightful to hear them chatter & laugh together as they work.

After they left, I made butterscotch brownies, chocolate peppermint brownies & now have banana bread in the oven. Tonight is "back to school" night @ Joe's school & I offered to bring the treats -- vs. store bought cookies.

I'm hoping I sleep better tonight.
